Casa do Canto

Casa do Canto seems to change with the wind.
It feels like it can become whatever we want it to be. This space is beyond adjectives, defined only by sensations and the memory of our grandfather playing the piano with Sintra’s forest in the background.

Going down the hills of Sintra and arriving at Várzea, we find a house full of nooks and crannies. Initially built in 1984 by our grandfather Artur Rosa, it grew according to the season's demands. It is a complex yet innocent construction hidden among the trees and bushes.

At Casa do Canto, we feel compelled to embrace the small details, notice the light on the walls and how it changes according to its reflection on the water, and observe the textures of the different materials and the several layers they highlight.
